➡️ Reaction with oxygen in metal ⬇️

.. Metal + Oxygen = metal oxide (basic)

Eg. Mg + O2 = MgO

➡️ Reaction with oxygen in non metal ⬇️

Non Metal + oxygen = Non metal oxide

(acidic)

Eg. S + O2 = So2
