the side of the rhombus=5cm

the length of one diagonal=8 cm

the length of another diagonal=xcm

now we know that (1/2of one diagonal)2+( 1/2of another diagonal )2=side square

so we will put the values in the following equation

(1/2*8)2+(1/2*x)2=5 square

4 square+x2/4=25

16+xsquare/4=25

xsquare/4=25-16

xsquare/4=9

xsquare=36

x=square root 36

x=6

so the length of second diagonal is 6 cm .
