• Since it operates  deep inside the soil its is not effected by congestion on roads and weather hazard.

• It allows continuous flow of goods and reduces accidents that may be caused by tankers on roads ,trains on track and ships on waters.

• It can be constructed in areas where it is difficult to construct roads or railway lines and access water.
