using pythagoras theorem, find the length of second diagonal of rhombus of side 5cm and have one of its diagonal as 8cm

let length of other digonal be=2x since , all sides of rhombus are equal i.e=5cm
also one diagonal =8cm
now ATQ
x^2+4^2=5^2
or x^2=5^2-4^2
or x^2=9
or x=3
hence,
length of required diagonal =2x=2×3=6
=6cm

ans 6cm
