3x^2 + 7x - 6 = 0

3x^2 +9x -2x - 6 = 0

3x(x + 3)-2(x + 3) = 0

(3x - 2) (x + 3) =0

x = 2/3 or -3

Step-by-step explanation:

quadratic equations is in the form of ax^2+bx+c=0

quadratic formula= -b+-√d/2a

here we first find d

d=b^2-4ac

d=(7)^2-4x3x(-6). [a=3,b=7,c=-6]

d=49+72

d=121

now, by using quadratic formula

=-7+-√121/2x3

=-7+-11/6

=-7+11/6=4/6=2/3

=-7-11/7=-18/6=-3

so,the roots are 2/3 and-3
