x - 2 = 0 \\ x = 2 \\ \\ p(x) = 3x - 6 {x}^{2} - 8x + 2 \\ p(2) = 3(2) - 6 {(2)}^{2} - 8(2) + 2 \\ = (3 \times 2) - (6 \times 4) - (8 \times 2) + 2 \\ = 6 - 24 - 16 + 2 \\ = \underline{ \underline{- 32}} \\ \\ The \: \: remainder \: \: is \: \: -32
