Given :

ABCD is rhombus

AB = 6 cm

AC = 7 cm

To construct :

Rhombus ABCD

Solution :

Rhombus is a quadrilateral whose all sides are equal _____(1)

Diagonals of rhombus bisect eac other perpendicularly _____(2)

Steps of construction :

i) Construct diagonal of the rhombus AC of length 7 cm using ruler.

ii) Draw Perpendicular bisector of AC this will be the second diagonal of rhombus ____(from 2)

iii) Mark an arc of radius 6cm from A on perpendicular bisector of AC & mark the point of intersection as B

iv)Mark an arc of radius 6cm from A on perpendicular bisector of AC opposite to point B & mark the point of intersection as D

V) Required rhombus is ready
