Answer : n is the principal quantum no.n= 1,2,3,4..... etc

I is the azimuthal quantum no. I=0 to ( n-1) a) n=1, l=0

n= 1 and I=0 i.e .orbital= s

the orbital notation = 1 s

b) n=3 ,I=1

n=3 and I=1 i.e orbital = p

the orbital notation =3p

c) n=4 ,I=2

n=4,I=2 I.e is orbital =d

the orbital notation=4d

d) n=4,I=3

n=4,I=3 i.e orbital =4f

the orbital notation =4 f
