Answer:

x = 17/22

y = 15/11

Step-by-step explanation:

first take any one equation, let me take equation 1

2x + 4y = 7

keep any one variable (out of x and y) on left hand side and send the remaining terms to right hand side , let me put variable x on left hand side.

2x = 7 - 4y

x = (7 - 4y)/2

now put this value of x in equation 2

eq 2 ,

4x - 3y + 1 = 0

4x - 3y = -1

put x = (7 - 4y)/2 in the above equation

4(7 - 4y)/2 - 3y = -1

2(7 - 4y) - 3y = -1

(14 - 8y) - 3y = -1

14 - 8y - 3y = -1

14 - 11y = -1

14 + 1 = 11y

15 = 11y

y = 15/11

therefore put y value in x = (7 - 4y)/2

x = 17/22

hope it helps and have a nice day buddy
