Vegetative propagation using stem, roots and leaves.

We know  that plants undergo asexual reproduction and vegetative propagation is the method by which these plants carry on their jeans forward. It is normally seen that a new plant is born when the asexual reproduction of plants occurs and a seed  or a flower is produced. There are also conditions where a new plant can be grown by cutting off leaves stems or just placing roots in some other area. observing vegetative propagation through:

  1. Leaves- the leaf cutting technique is able to produce a new plant in some cases. This is possible only for the plants that can prepare adventitious buds through the leaves. Like the method of leaf petiole of African Violet plants will form New leaves to appear or splitting veins of a Rex begonia and putting it on the medium where it can grow new roots it can be seen that the places where the veins are cut will have new roots forming.
  2. Stem-  the stem of a rose plant can be placed in soil so we can see new leaves budding out of the small buds present on the stem even though there were no leaves previously.
  3. Roots-  if we take out the roots of a turmeric plant or Ginger plant and put it in some other place in soil we can see small plants budding out of  those roots in sometime.
