We observe that
BC = BD + DC = BD + OA
Substituting BC = v and OA = u
We get v = BD + u
or, BD = v - u
As we know
acceleration=change in velocity/time
a = BD/AD= BD/OC
or, a = v-u/t
at = v-u
at +u = v
