Given : a segment of length square root 41 CM

To Find :  using the concept of Pythagoras Theorem construct a segment of length square root 41 CM

Solution  :

Pythagoras' theorem: square on the hypotenuse of a right-angled triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two perpendicular sides.

5²  + 6² =  (√41)²

Step 1 : Draw  a line segment  AB = 5 cm

Step 2 : Draw a right angle at B on AB using protractor / set square

Step 3 : Take a length of 6 cm from B on angle drawn and mark as C

Step 4 :  Join AC

AC = √41
