C= (5,2)
using distance formula
AB= √{(-1 - 2)² + (4 - 3)²}
=√(9 + 1)
=√10
again
AC = √{(-1 - 5)² + (4 - 2)²}
= √(36 + 4)
= √40
= √ 4 × √10
= 2√10
similarly ,
BC = √{(2 - 5)² + (3 - 2)²}
= √(9 + 1)
= √10
so clearly we see that
AB + BC = AC
i.e.
√10 + √10 = 2√10
hence proved
points (-1,4),(2,3),(5,2) are collinear
