The points are collinear.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The points  A(3,-2),B(5,2),C(8,8).

To find : To show the points are collinear ?

Solution :

When three points are collinear then the condition is

x_1(y_2 - y_3) + x_2(y_3 - y_1) + x_3(y_1 - y_2) = 0

Where, x_1 = 3, x_2 = 5,  x_3 = 8, y_1 = -2, y_2 = 2,y_3 = 8

Substituting the values,

3(2-8) + 5(8-(-2)) + 8(-2-2) = 0

3(-6) + 5(10) + 8(-4) = 0

-18+50-32 = 0

0= 0

So, The points are collinear.
