Answer:

Solution :-

◘ 7x - 3y = 18 and 6x + 7y = 25 by elimination method.

7x - 3y = 18 . . . . (1)

6x + 7y = 25 . . . . (2)

❖ Multiply equation (1) by 6 and (2) by 7, we get

42x - 18y = 108 . . . . (3)

42x + 49y = 175 . . . . (4)

❖ Adding (3) and (4) we get,

42x - 18y = 108

42x + 49y = 175

(-) (-) (-)

________________

- 67y = - 67

y = - 67/- 67

y = 1

✯ Substituting the value of y = 1 in equation (1) we get,

★ 7x - 3y = 18

➞ 7x - 3(1) = 18

➞ 7x - 3 = 18

➞ 7x = 18 + 3

➞ 7x = 21

➞ x = 21/7

➞ x = 3

The value of x = 3, y = 1 is the solution of the system of the given equations.
