Using the elimination method, solve the simultaneous equations.
3x+y=5
x+y=3​

3x+y=5

x+y =3

multiplying both (i)and (ii) equation by 1

and subtracting equation (i) and (ii)

3x-×=y-y+5-3

2x=2

x=1

putting the value of x in equation (i)

3×1+y=5

y=5-3

y=2
