l.using the formula (a+b)^2= a^2+b^2+2ab
then (100+2)^2=100^2+2^2+2×100×2
=10000+4+400=10404
ll. by using (a-b)^2=a^2+b^2-2ab
then (100-1)^2=100^2+1^2-2×100×1
= 10000+1-200=9800+1
=9801

Hiii!!!

Here's Ur answer...

1. (102)²

By using 1st identity = (a+b)² = a² + 2ab + b²

= ( 100 + 2 )²

= 100² + 2 ( 100 × 2 ) + 2²

= 10000 + 400 + 4

= 10404

2. (99)²

By using 2md identity = (a-b)² = a² - 2ab + b²

= ( 100 - 1 )²

= 100² - 2 ( 100 × 1 ) + 1²

= 10000 - 200 + 1

= 9801

Hope this helps..!!
