Intrapersonal communication can be defined as communication with one's self, and that may include self-talk, acts of imagination and visualization, and even recall and memory (McLean, 2005 ).

Interpersonal communication is an exchange of information between two or more people. It is also an area of research that seeks to understand how humans use verbal and nonverbal cues to accomplish several personal and relational goals.

Public communication means communication made in identical form to multiple persons or the world at large, as by television, radio, motion picture, newspaper, pamphlet, mass mailing, letterhead, business card, or directory.

Mass communication is the process of imparting and exchanging information through mass media to large segments of the population. Mass communication is practiced in multiple mediums, such as radio, television, social networking, billboards, newspapers, magazines, books, film, and the Internet.
