Using the idea of a concentration gradient explain why the blue colour gradually spreads throughout the water in the jar? When does the diffusion stop?

Warm water has more energy then cold water, which means molecules in warm water moves faster than cold water molecules. Since the molecules in warm water move around faster, the food colouring spreads out quicker in the warm water than in the cold water
