Using the identity for difference of two squares, find the value of :

\tt{203^{2} - 197^{2}}

\underline{\mathfrak{\huge{Here's \:Your\:answer:}}}

The identity which will be applicable for this question is :

\sf{a^{2} - b^{2} = (a-b) (a+b)}

Here, we can put the value of :

a = 203

b = 197

Now, keep these values in the formula and then solve it :-

\tt{203^{2} - 197^{2} = (203 - 197) (203 + 197)}

Solve this formed equation further

=》 \tt{203^{2} - 197^{2} = 6 \times 400}

Last one step to go

=》 \tt{203^{2} - 197^{2} = 2400}

There's your answer ! It's 2400.
