Aruna Asaf Ali is an Indian revolutionary freedom fighter. She was born in the year 1990 in a bengali family. During Quit India Movement which occured in the year 1942, she hoist the flag of Congress in Bombay at Gowalia Tank Maidan.
She pursued her education at Nainital. After completing her studies, she married a very famous lawyer named Asaf Ali. She was very active in politics. In 1958, she became the president of Delhi Congress Committee. She received many awards like Lenin Peace Prize and Indira Gandhi Award. She passed away in the year 1996.
