Once upon a time, there was a famous jester who was the king's favorite. The jester was funny and entertained everyone. Being the king's favorite, he was often rewarded with gold coins and other expensive things. The jester had the freedom to enter and exit the palace as he pleased. The jester enjoyed the great freedom.
One day, the Jester offended the king by entering into a restricted place. The king who warned him to never enter that room became angry and condemned the Jester to death. The Jester, terrified of his mistake pleaded the king for any mercy. But the king was strong and adamant in his decision and showed no mercy.
The king asked the Jester to choose how he wanted to die. The jester, being clever answered the king that he wanted to die a natural death. Shocked and amused with the Jester's answer, the king kept his word and let the Jester live. Jester took this opportunity to apologize the king and ran to the neighbor kingdom and became popular.
Answer:
A jester once lived in a palace far away across the hills. He was the king's favorite as he was funny and entertaining, smart. Thus, he enjoyed great freedom as the king even considered him as an equal and much more, a friend. One day, he commits a grave crime, abusing the freedom given to him by the king. This offends the king so much that the king immediately gives a verdict that he be condemned to death. The jester pleads for mercy as he realises how unforgivable his actions are. The king, who could not possibly forgive the jester's unspeakable actions, could only ask him to choose how he wanted to die as a last bid of mercy. The jester accepts his fate and states that he would wish to die a natural death.
