He was born on 15th October 1931 Rameshwaram.He was the 11th President of India from 2000 to 2007 .He was born and raised in Rameshwaram .He was awarded with Bharat Ratna ,Padma vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and many more. He was a scientist at DRDO and ISRO and came to be known as a missile man of India. He died on 27 July 2015.
