Answer:

P =84 cm

_____________________

The scale factor compares the

dimensions of the scale model

to the dimensions of the actual truck.

____________________

Scale factor = 3:7

\frac{scale}{actual}=\frac{3}{7}

i) Let actual length of rectangular shape = L cm

modal length (s) = 12cm

3/7 = 12/L

=> L = (12×7)/3

=> L = 4×7 = 28 cm

ii) Let the actual breadth of the rectangular truck = B cm

model breadth = 6 cm

=> 3/7 = 6/B

=> B = (6×7)/3

=> B = 2×7 = 14 cm

Perimeter (P) = 2(L+B)

= 2(28+14)

= 2×42

= 84 cm
