ANSWER :

Applying Thevenin’s theorem, after detaching the 6-ohm resitor from terminals A −B,

VTH = VC = 15 − 1 × 3 = 12 volts

RTH = 4 + 3/6 = 6 ohms

IL = 12/(6 + 6) = 1 amp
