using two variable only solve the following: find the number whose sum is 28 and half of the difference is 3.​

a/2-b/2=3-----(2)

multiply 2 by 2 we get

a-b=6

now,

a+b= 28

a-b= 6. adding both equations

2a=34

a= 17

and 17 - b=6

therefore b= 11 hence required number are 17 and 11
