\underline{\bold{Gauss' \: Theorem:-}}

Gauss' theorem states that the the total flux linked with a surface enclosing a charge is numerically equal to 1/€ to the charge enclosed inside the surface.

\underline{\bold{Expression:-}}

Let an infinite long sheet of charge of surface charge density Sigma in the space. Because of symmetry of the field produced by the sheet may be uniform and normally to the plane of seed.

To find the intensity of electric field at point P ,let us draw a cylindrical Gaussian surface of area A taking point P on it as shown in the diagram.

Gauss theorem:

It states that the total electric flux through any closed surface surrounding a charge is equal to the net positive charge enclosed by the surface.

Kindly see the attachment derivation of electric field due to a infinitely plan sheet of charge.
