The stars twinkle in the night sky because of the effects of our atmosphere. When starlight enters our atmosphere it is affected by winds in the atmosphere and by areas with different temperatures and densities. This causes the light from the star to twinkle when seen from the ground.

The twinkling of stars is due to the changes in atmospheric pressure.

Explanaion -

When light enters the earths atmosphere it refracts due to atmosphere but due to the continuous changes in atmosphere pressure the density of air changes which results in changes in the angle of refraction as a result we see the stars twinkling.

Because angle of refraction changes with respect to the density of the medium.
