Given:

  • Potential difference,V = 220 v

  • Power,P = 5 w

To be calculated:

Calculate the Current,I ?

Formula used:

 \boxed{ \bf{  \: Power = potential \: diff. \:  \times current}}

  \boxed{\bigstar \: P \:  = V \times I}

Solution:

P = V × I

Substituting the values in the above formula,we get:

⇒ 5 = 220 × I

⇒ I = 5/220

⇒ l = 1/44

⇒ I = 0.02 Ampere ( Approx )

Thus,the current is 0.02 Ampere

Given,

  • Potential difference, p.d. = 220 V
  • Power = 5 W

To Find :-

The current (I).

\rule{180}2\\\rule{180}2

Solution :-

We know,

\boxed{\sf{\bigstar\ P=V\times I}}

Now, putting the values :-

\sf{\implies 5=220  \times I}\\\\\sf{\implies I=\dfrac{5}{220} }\\\\\sf{\implies I=\dfrac{1}{44} }\\\\\boxed{\sf{\implies I=0.022\ A}}

\underline{\rule{190}2}

Other formulas that might help :-

  • P = I²R
  • P = V²/R
  • P = E/t
  • P = W/t
