R parallel = 15 ohm
How much current is flowing through 10 ohm
resistance and 15 ohm resistance

we know that from ohms law:

 \frac{v}{r}  = i

so in 10 ohm resistance wire

 \frac{3}{10}  = .3amp

or in 15 ohm resistance wire

 \frac{3}{15}  =  \frac{1}{5} amp

so it is in parellel convert it in series

5amp

So

add both resistance current

.3amp + 5amp = 5.3amp
