V. Answer the following:-
14)AD is an altitude of an isosceles triangle ABC in which AB-AC. Show that,
i) AD bisects BC
in) AD bisects ZA​

i)altitude bisects base perpendicularly so AD bisects BC

in triangle ADC and triangle ABD

AB =AC ( isosceles triangle)

AD =AD (common side )

angle A = angle A ( altitude dived angle )

triangle ABD and ADC are congruent using SAS rule

so BD=DC that means AD bisects BC by CPCT (corresponding parts of congruent yriangle)

HENCE PROVED
