Prove that ,

Cot X - Cot 2X = 2

Answer - Cos X /SinX - Cos 2X /Sin2X =2

Or , Sin2X . Cos X - SinX . Cos 2x /Sinx . Sin2X = 2

Or, Sin(2X -X) = 2Sin2X . SinX

Or ,SinX - 2Sin2X . SinX = 0

Or, SinX (1 - 2Sin2X) = 0

Either ,

Sin X = 0

X = n pie (Based on formula )

Or, 1 - 2Sin2X =0

2Sin2X = 1

Sin2X = 1/2

Sin2X = Sin pi / 6

( as we know 1/2 = Sin 30 degree = pi /6 )

2X = n. pi + ( -1 ) ^n .pi / 6
