Himalays plays an important role for rainfall in India because, the wind which flows from west gets coolide with himalaya and tend towards the eastern side of India into the Bay of Bengal which causes low pressure and creates the rain. If himalyas wouldn't be there then India wouldn't have recieved rainfall and would be a cold nation because himalaya also stops the flow of very cold winds towards India's all part.
