(a) These animals are included in phylum

  1. Chordata (fish) and
  2. Platyhelminthes (liver fluke) respectively.

(b) Chordata have well defined locomotory organs like legs, fins etc., in fishes there are 2 paired (pelvic and pectoral) and 3 unpaired (dorsal, anal and caudal) fins for locomotion.

Platyhelminthes are mostly parasite or in some cases free living flatworms. because of there lifestyle they do not need specialized locomotory organs.

Being parasite Platyhelminthes are harmful.

Rohu and Liver fluke

Explanation:

  • The first picture shows Rohu fish(Labeo rohita) belongs to phylum- Chordata

The second picture shows liver fluke( Fasciola hepatica) belongs to phylum- Platyhelminthes.

  • Rohu fish have 7 fins of which caudal fin and tail is the chief locomotory organ but adult liver fluke don't have any locomotory organ.
  • Out of two, liver fluke is harmful as it is a parasite that spreads disease like Fasciolasis that occur in sheep.
