When i took 20 people from my neighborhood and classified into said types. It came out to be like this.

young : 6

adult : 3

old : 3

educated : 8

uneducated : 8

females : 10

males : 10

students : 8

laborers : 0

merchants : 2

industrialists : 0

unemployed : 2

housewives : 4

On the basis of above data, my neighborhood comprises of mostly house wives whose men go out for work. There are more young and old children who are dependent on the men.

Such a classification can also be done on country level. It is usually done by surveys and census.
