We know, acceleration is the rate of change of velocity of an object with respect to time . Here velocity change from u to v in time t. So We can write,

or, at = v-u

or, v = u+at

If the object start moving from a stationary situation i.e with a initial velocity 0 (Zero) then u will be 0 (Zero) therefore

v=0+at

or, v=at
