Explanation:

when we put a iron nail in CuSO4 the iron (being more reactive) displaces copper (less reactive) from its solution,this is why CuSO4 becomes FeSO4 which is green in colour.

the reaction is :-

CuSO4+ Fe-> FeSO4+ Cu
