Answer :

Direct Speech is way of speaking some other person's sentence by the speaker's Point of view .

Eg : Overloaded said " I love maths and computer science. I know how to write programs in Python, C and C++".

If you see the sentence, you will notice that the speaker is speaking the sentence in the way Overloaded said. This way of speaking is Direct Speech. We always have to use inverted commas while writing in Direct Speech.

Indirect Speech is way of some other person's sentence by our own Point of view.

Eg : Overloaded said that He loves maths and computer science. He also said that He knows how to write programs in Python, C and C++.

If you see this sentence, you will notice that we are writing other's sentence in our own Point of view. This is called Indirect speech. We don't have to use Inverted Commas here.
