Let's firstly understand about Law of Variable Proportion![tex][/tex]

Law of variable proportion : It states that as we employee more and more of variable factors, (keeping other factors constant), T.P. at initially increases at increasing rate, and then increases at diminishing rate and finally starts falling.

Relation between TP and MP

We can divide this relation in three parts :-

• Case - I :- Initially, when the TP increases at increasing rate, MP increases at increasing rate and reaches it's maximum.

• Case - II :- When TP starts increasing at decreasing rate and reaches it's maximum, MP starts falling and reaches 0.

• Case - III :- When TP starts falling, MP becomes negative.
