- The policy of Appeasement :- Appeasement refers to the policy of conciliating an aggressive power to the expense of some other country. It meant accepting the hostile demands of an aggressive nation to gain peace. Britain and France followed this policy over Germany and Italy.
- Japanese invasion of China and other countries :- Japan's policy of expansion was another cause of the war. Opposing the League of Nations, Japan invaded many countries and hence was responsible for the rise of second world war.
- Failure of League of Nations :- The League of Nations was created after first world war to prevent such wars in future. But, the League failed in its work and was a cause for the rise of world war II.
