Rational numbers are the numbers which can be expressed in the form of p/q, where q is not equal to 0.

Example: 0,1, 1/2, 3/4, etc.

An irrational number is a number that cannot be expressed as a fraction p/q for any integers p and q. Irrational numbers have decimal expansions that neither terminate nor become periodic. Example: π, √2,√3 , etc.
