On the basis of development the world countries are divided into two categories and they are:-

1- Developing countries :- These are also known as third world countries and also referred as South nations.This category includes those countries where poverty still prevails and living standards of people is also below the global standard and their economy is still developing. eg. India,Sri lanka,Pakistan and some other african nations.

2- Developed countries :- These are the countries where GDP is high and countries play major role in regulating world economy and they are advance economically technologically and they are referred as North nations. eg. Us,Britain,France etc.
