The last blow to President's power came in during Janata Government through Constitutional amendment that President can return ministerial decision for reconsideration. But if if council of ministers resends the decisions in the same form again, President has to endorse the decision of council of ministers.

Though President has limited power in day to day governance, he (includes she) has unlimited power in deciding the claim of majority in forming Government.

This position cannot be taken lightly either by ruling party nor opposition parties.
