Vacuoles in plant cells are less in number. Give reason.

plants need to divide frequently to grow, the vacuoles cause hindrance in cell division. therefore, vacuoles are less in plants.

They have less number because

It  requires a big vacuole because to maintain water pressure and for storage of food .

and one or may be more  big vacuole serves the purpose  . it do not need vacuoles like in animals (many but small in size)
