Vadilal Gandhi, the founder of Vadilal started a soda fountain in Ahemdabad. This
remarkable journey started as a gruh udhyog with a small hand cranked ice cream
making machine. He passed on the business to his son, Ranchod Lal, who ran a one-
man show and started a small retail outlet in 1926.
The business was then passed to Ranchod Lal’s sons, Ramchandra and Laxman. The
duo imparted a new vision to the venture and infused a spirit of calculated risk-taking
into the company.
From 1972-73, Vadilal had 8-10 outlets in Ahmedabad. Gradually, we moved from the
city to other parts of Gujarat. By 1985, the company had expanded to the neighbouring
states like Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Today, Vadilal is India’s leading food & beverage company with a mission of spreading
smiles across the world. We provide customers with the best tasting food products of
the most premium quality. Mr. Rajesh Gandhi is the Chairman and Mr. Devanshu
Gandhi is the Managing Director for Vadilal. Over the last couple of decades, Vadilal has
become a name to reckon with in the Indian ice cream and processed foods sector.
