The time he took to read 80 pages at the same speed will be 6 hours.

Given,

Vaibhav reads 20 pages of a book in 1.5 hours with a uniform speed

To Find,

The time he took to read 80 pages at the same speed

Solution,

Speed = constant

Let the time taken in reading 80 pages be 'x' hours

Case 1 → 20 pages read in 1.5 hours

Case 2 → 80 pages read in x hours

Speed in Case 1 = \frac{20}{1.5} = \frac{40}{3}             (1)

Speed in Case 2 = \frac{80}{x}                    (2)

Since speed is constant we can equate the equations (1) and (2)

\frac{40}{3} = \frac{80}{x}

40*x = 80*3

x =240/40

x = 6 hours

Thus, the time he will take is 6 hours.
