Answer: loss % is 2.22% .

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Selling price of sarees = Rs. 2200

There is 10% gain on first saree and 12% loss on another saree

Cost price of first saree would be

2200×100/110= 2000

Cost price of second saree would be

2200×100/88=2500

Total c.p. = 2000+2500 = 4500

Total s.p. = 2200×2 = 4400

C.p.> s.p.

So, there will be loss of

4500-4400 = 100

Loss % = loss/c.p. × 100

= 100/4500 × 100

=2.22%

Hence, loss % is 2.22% .
