here is the answer to the question

valency of calcium is +2..

because in outermost shell of calcium there are 2 electrons present.. so, calcium has capability to loose 2 electrons and become stable..

valency of calcium =1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 4s2

atomic number of calcium = 20

electronic configuration of calcium = 2,8,8,2

valency of calcium = +2 ( as it losses 2 electrons to complete its valence shell )
