Valency of iron is 2, valency of oxygen is 2. then how come chemical formula for iron is Fe2O3.

Iron has variable valency.It has 2 valancies,that are +2 and +3.In case of Fe2O3,the valency Iron is +3 and so the formula of ferric oxide is Fe2O3.
