Valency of Mg is 2 and valency of S is also 2 but why it's chemical formula is MgS2​

Bro it's Reaction is like this : Mg + S = MgS but now in your question product is MgS2 then been taken twice .........since Mg valency is. +2 and sulphur valency is. -2 so only in first reaction both +2 of Mg and -2 of S got cancelled and the result was MgS...in your question it's MgS2 then the Mg is taken twice this means now it has +4 as valency bcoz of 2 Mg atoms and sulphur only -2 so : 4 - 2 = 2 so only at last it's been MgS2
